Troop Google Calendar

Google is seems use to support adding public calendars. It was easy to add the BSA Troop 301 calendar, by just searching public calendars and adding it. When I looked tonight, I did not see that option. So if you want access to the troop calendar do the following:

Go to the following web site and log into google calendar
calendar.google.com

If you do not have account create one it is free and you can use any e-mail address.

In the far left hand column under other calendars click the add link.

Select Add by URL

Paste in the following:
https://www.google.com/calendar/ical/r0dd8tkg2fas0mv99lqsluvnv0%40group.calendar.google.com/public/basic.ics

It should now appear in your list of other calendars because it is read only.

Some of you already have access because I just gave it to you when I set it up a long time ago.  All you need to do is log in with your google account and password and the calendar should show up in the list of My Calendar, if you have more than read access or other calendars if you only have read access.  If  you want to keep the calendar up to date by reviewing the weekly troop update and comparing what is in the calendar, we can always use another helper.  I will then give you write access.

I actually tried this from scratch so it should work.
