For those working on the Tracking Merit Badge, usscouts.org has the new requirements, new worksheets and the original Merit Badge book from when it was called Stalking.

I will bring some worksheets to the first meeting, but the digital MB Book is the only way to get the book. I have 1 printed copy of this book, it’s informational and humorous!
There are many outdoor parts to this MB. I’m looking forward to the fun!

If you are working on the Tracking Merit Badge, or wish to work on it in the Fall / over the Summer at camp, etc etc. There is a Tracking Walk at Mission Trails this Saturday June the 5th from 8:30 – 10:30, the gentleman leading the walk is very well qualified and it would be a great time to work on learning to identify wildlife as well as possibly trail wildlife! You should meet at the Kumeyaay Lake Campground entrance. The cost is FREE. This is not a Troop activity so you should attend with family or friends, bring water and be prepared to kneel in the dirt (long pants). http://mtrp.org for maps and directions
There is also a Tracking Walk on Saturday June 12 from 8 – 10 at the Adobe Ranch House. Go to http://www.sddt.org for more information about walks every month. However we will be at the 2nd & 1st class campout, perhaps we will identify some wildlife there!
Don't forget to check your backyard and community parks for species and get those pictures!
