We have our first, official OA Representative for Troop 301.
Thank you to Harrison Trubitt!
If you have earned the Brotherhood honor, please let Harrison and Dr.
Solberg know for our records. I know for sure that we have Brotherhood members Mr. Zimmer and Bryan Graham. (Dr. Solberg is Vigil.)
Please see the below opportunity for Arrowmen to serve. I know that when I do this marathon, the OA’s water stop is a highlight, and THE BEST! I believe that you can come alone if you are over 14 years old, and that if you are under 14, you can serve with a parent guardian, but please use the
below contact to be sure.
Dr. Bryon Solberg, M.D.
Troop 301 Scoutmaster

THE LODGE NEEDS YOUR HELP:
The 2009 Rock N Roll Marathon is taking place on Sunday, May 31st and we need your help. The Lodge is hosting a water station from early Sunday morning until Sunday early afternoon near Friar’s Road and Fiesta Island. We need over 100 volunteers for the project, preferably Arrowmen to help cheer on and encourage runners, and help out water. We will also need help with setup early Sunday morning (starting late Saturday night) with the pioneering projects, but will need the most help
during the day on Sunday during the marathon. Access to the area closes at 6:30am on Sunday, so please plan on joining us by 6:00am if you are able to help.
The Lodge has a link posted for volunteers to register to help at oa.sdicbsa.org. If you have any questions, please contact:
RNR Adviser Josh MacDermot joshua macdermot@usmc.mil jmtiwahe03@hotmail.com,
Lodge Chief Joe Garcia usmc-joe@hotmail.com or
Lodge Adviser Bobby Brock robertmbrock@aol.com
We ask that any detail oriented questions please be directed to Mr. MacDermot. More instructions and specific details will be available on the Lodge website as we learn them. The theme for the day is “Tropical/Islandy,” and it’s going to be a lot of fun.
Thanks for your help and the great work you do representing the Order!
