We’ve begun the physical fitness merit badge. Everyone that signed up should soon receive a Excercise Tracking spreadsheet. It is also available on the T301 web page. Feel free to use this one or another if you want. We are counting on you keeping track and bringing the sheet to be signed off at each of the progress tests. If you miss a meeting where we are doing a progress test, do not worry, you can make it up next time. Let us know by phone and one of will be happy to come early or stay late and help you through it.

Some general notes:
If you went to camp this summer you should have had a physical. That counts toward requirement #1. No need to go to the doctor again. Just answer the questions in the worksheet and we can sign you off. Also one of the requirements is to go to the dentist, hopefully you have done that in the last year. So, again answer the question and we will sign you off.
Our track for running is probably not really a mile, but it’s long enough for a timed run and everyone seemed to break a sweat.
If you can not do a pull up, you can do a timed flexed arm hang. The goal here is to show some improvement.
We do not have the structure for the sit and reach. Just touch your toes and note if you can: Not touch, touch with tips, touch with knuckes, tcuch with writs or touch your toes with the top of your head like Mr Zimmer 😉
Remember when you fill out your excercise log to count scout activities, PE at school and fun time with family and friends.
