If we get in, we will have to pay $441 per person. The first payment is $100/participant due February 1, 2010. The subsequent payments to the Troop (so that we can send one check) are $171 due Sept. 15, 2010 and Feb. 15, 2011.
$441.00 does not cover the cost of transportation to Philmont. (Nor does it cover most excellent soft serve ice cream, Tooth Of Time Trading Post, etc.
Please note: Going on the Yosemite Trek backpack is essentially mandatory for Philmont 2011, as is the Jan. Mission Trails Backpack. Some dates to
keep in mind, as prospective backpackers need as much experience as necessary. On Hikes, please wear your backpack and shoes that you plan to take onthese big trips. .look for individual instructions for each trip.

2010Jan. 29-31: Mission Trails Backpack (we start Friday Afternoon)April 18th: hike-afternoon/5 milesMay 16: Ellie Lane and Iron Mtn. hike (~10 miles).June 13: SR2DaC! (20 Miler).
Permits and campsites pending (we find out in Feb. or March): Yosemite Backpack (Hoping for 22-28 of August.)
Participants should also be hiking WITH THEIR PACK, even if it is just a couple of blocks around the neighborhood!
