46 Scouts/Scouters we had in camp (no surprise:we were the biggest unit.)
24 Official bunks in the camp site. awesome job to all who made our campsite work out great!
10 Miles of the “Lost Valley Road Driving Adventure” (the road was in really good shape this year!).
4 Boys who did the “COPE” Program. (Bryan G., Dan P., Sean R., and Josh S.). This is the “Challenging Outdoor Personal Experience” for older boys (usually 13-14+ year olds who have most/all their work done for Eagle). They had a BLAST: team building games, black powder musket shooting, 65 foot rock wall rappelling, 30 foot high COPE course (ladders, suspension bridges, long zipline).
3rd Place for Keith A. in the Ironman portion of the Lost Valley Triathlon.
3 Honor Scouts recognized by camp this week from Troop 301: congrats to acting SPL David M., Atta-Scout award winner Jacob Z., and Patrol Leader Michael F.
2 Troy A. and Kyle F. were awarded the Art Brush award (only 5 in camp).
1 Only one Scout did the mile swim this week .. .Reid B.!
1st and 4th Place: Scout Relay Triathlon team winners from Troop 301 (Harrison, Dan P., Bryan G and Reid B., Christian, Reed H.).
1st Place (and only) adults to compete in the triathlon! (The “A” Team: Mr. Davis, Mr. Zimmer, and Mr. Stachwick took it up another notch by all wearing Class A uniform during the event. . Including Mr. Davis in the swim!).
1st Place Campwide Aquacade in camp on Friday. .. . the boys essentially won every event this year (note: how a Troop does tends to cycle, and this was just our year).
1st Place in the “Golden Staff Hunt” for Evan C.
1 Ice cream party in camp.
