Remember to write up your 10 mile hikes (i.e. Ellie Lane/Iron Mountain loop from this last weekend!).
Last meeting, we talked about how there were 230+ Eagle Scouts in San Diego
Imperial Council last year, but only 80 hiking merit badges . . .and 10% came
from our Troop!
Many or our Scouts have done the hardest parts. The five 10 mile and the
one 20 mile hike. All that is left is for a little paperwork and a meeting
with a counselor (Dr. Solberg is a counselor).

Notes:
- You should read the merit badge pamphlet on the subject. Merit badge pamplets are available at your local Scout Shop or online at ScoutStuff.org.
- Hiking merit badge is on the Eagle Scout required list (requirement 3.j.). It is one choice of a group of three merit badges on the list.
