Aloha from the islands,’mon! Troop 301 slept well in our island sand bunkers and got up at 5:30. After donuts and egg-mcmuffins on the griddle, we carried our two loaded canoes into the water (we’re iron men – and women). Troop 301 is well organised with skilled paddlers. (Glad we didn’t over turn in the waves and dump our entire gear into the surf, like another troop did). Our beautiful morning paddle home was fun, with sea lions 10 feet from the canoe. The boys charged into their morning classes, with plenty of rather surprising energy. Lunch brought BBQ chicken nuggents, mac-cheese, jello, apples and salad bar. We have the best assigned table – on the patio – with some talented waiters in our troop. We have a troop bike ride this afternoon followed by a snorkel trip, and group fire pit show tonite!
ASM Madsen for the gang.
