The 2013 Dos Picos Campout went smoothly as scouts went from station to station, finishing off the requirements of Pioneering Merit Badge. Under the lead of our wonderful SPL Bradley Sweeney, the scouts learned pioneering skills, played capture the flag, and had tons of fun!
It was warm, but not too hot. I remain amazed at how ALL the Scouts attempting the Pioneering Merit Badge EARNED the merit badge in just one day! As my sons said: “We have never heard of this ever being attempted.” It would not have been possible without:
*SPL Bradley Sweeney’s vision of this as a possibility!
*All of the experienced Scouts and the Adults who came to help run learning centers
*The Scouts willing to work so hard and keep going!
