Troop 301 has a ‘Night out on the town” at the Black Mountain District Dinner!

We had a great time shooting rifle, shotgun  and archery at Lost Valley.  Many of the boys earned merit badges.    We stayed in nice warm cabins, and had hot meals made by the Lost Valley staff.   

Troop 301 learns about the amazing Challenged Athletes Foundationand super fun wheelchair basketball on the way towards Disability Awareness Merit Badge with Paralympian Samuel Nehemiah. Over 600 pounds of food collected today  by Troop 301.  It was donated to the Salvation Army-Citadel and San Diego Food Bank.

This past weekend, I participated in the final session of High Adventure Leadership Trek Training (HALTT). This training is for scouting adults who wish to lead high adventure activities for older boys.   The HALTT training consists of two classroom sessions, one weekday night, one full day Saturday, and an overnight backpack at Mataguay.
