  • For every 100 boys who join Scouts: Rarely does one with a Scouting history go before a juvenile judge, and 12 families will have their first exposure to a church.
  • For every 100 boys who join Scouts: one becomes a pastor, 18 learn a life long hobby in Scouts, and 8 will enter a vocation that was learned through the merit badge system.
  • For every 100 boys who join Scouts: at least one will use the skills he learned to save a life.
  • 26 of the first 29 astronauts were Scouts. 72% of Rhodes Scholars were Scouts. 85% of FBI agents were Scouts.
  • 4 of the 100, or 4%, will earn the Rank of Eagle Scout, and 1 of these 4 will value their Eagle above their college degree. (Dr. Bryon is one of these).
  • 17 of the 100 Scouts will become leaders in Scouting, and will continue the chain that will affect 1000’s of lives.

  • Scouting may be pictured as a great ocean of service, whose virtues and results are like ripples of ever widening circles in the sea of humanity.
